Guinness World Records

Post by Dalek on Mon 7 Oct 2013 - 16:24

Doctor Who has been in the Guinness World Records books many times over the years. Discuss the show's appearances in the books in this thread! Today, from the library, I got the 2004, 2009, 2011 and 2012 books, some of which have Doctor Who features, for 10p each in a clearance box.

There is the largest gathering of Daleks in one place and in one of the books, there were two pages filled with lots of Doctor Who records, and I think that's it. Also, Torchwood: Children of Earth is in it for highest rated Sci-Fi mini series.

Record amount of Daleks!

Post by Admin-Emperor Dalek on Sun 10 Nov 2013 - 9:02

In August 2007 fans got together and set a World Record at the Museum of Science an Industry in Manchester.
One of those people there was City Dalek!
Here he is with his Dalek, the grey one. Circled him in the photo.

See links below.

These Daleks look totally accurate and put the 'DIOE' Daleks from the upcoming 'AISAT' to shame.
Is City Dalek's Dalek based on a B+W look?
