The Wheel in Space

Post by Admin-Emperor Dalek on Fri 21 Jul 2017 - 9:50

The Reconstruction of The Wheel in Space at SDCC (San Diego Comic Con )is just the Lose Cannon Recon. Part stills part surviving clips, like the Underwater Menace. 4 episodes out of 6 missing (1, 2, 4 and 5),.
According to a post on the missing episodes group on Facebook Wheel in Space is set for release on DVD in September.

Worth noting that the people at SDCC only speak for the American market, and whether or not it will be released in the UK is currently unknown. This is ridiculous! UK is home of Doctor Who, why don't we get it first?

Anyway, I doubt this will sell well considering you can find the telesnap reconstructions on YouTube for free.

It would be blooming well boring sitting through all those telesnaps and a few clips, can't see it selling on DVD.

Yeah, I mean when it comes to missing episodes I'm usually first in line to jump at recreations, but this is just a disappointment. This is literally the scenario:

Wait until September, and buy it for a high price on DVD!

OR

Go on to YouTube right now and watch it for free...

Yep, this product is not going to sell. I doubt even completionists may bother. The sad thing is, I suppose this sort of destroys any chance we have of getting an animation of this story. And the funny thing is, this was my number 1 most wanted story to be animated...

Or it may just stay on Britbox. I have an Amazon Firestick with the kido programme on it and through Kodi I could watch the telesnaps/recons for free!
I hope the BBC do animate further stories, if not then don't bother me with telesnaps.

Oh well played BBC America. If it's released only on Britbox, then people don't pay exclusively for the programme. Obviously they realise they can't exactly market off of something that's been released already, so that's a clever idea to be honest.

But still, the UK is the home of Doctor Who! America have no right to get it first, they have lots more TV shows that they can ruin. Yes the conventions are hosted there, but it just doesn't feel right to have Americans talking about something that is pure British. I wonder how long before some SJW calls me a racist.

Doctor Who is a global brand so why can't Americans talk about the show?

I mean the way they talk about it. They talk as though the show is a part of their culture but it's a British flagship.
