It's good to see them finally exploring the true original villains more. I hope this is a sign of more Hartnell and Troughton figurines to come.

Technically this counts as a Cyberman figurine since the Voord upgraded themselves to become Cybermen in a comic strip.

You may consider comics non-canon, however the Doctor directly references Marinus and Planet 14 as being Cyber homeworlds in The Doctor Falls, thus now making the Voord Cybermen canon regardless whether or not the comic is.

By the same logic any human figure would also be a Cyberman though.

Yes I suppose so. However because the Voord played a prominent part in Cyber evolution, I wouldnt be surprised if a section in this release mentions that comic strip as well as the Mondas-Marinus connection.

They had to stop the presses to get in the Alpha Centauri return mentioned, it's far too late to get anything in for the Voord. It's also worth noting that the comic strip itself isn't canon because it says that Marinus is both Planet 14 and Mondas, yet the Doctor here clarifies that all three are very distinct planets that independently produced Cybermen.

Yes but he still mentions Marinus in the Doctor Falls.
